Taken
|

Follow the
directions given to you by your doctor. Swallow the tablet
whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet before swallowing.
Wellbutrin is taken orally and may be taken with food if stomach
upset occurs. Take this medicine regularly at the same time
every day.

Possible
Side Effects

Some
of the possible side effects of Wellbutrin include:
- dizziness, drowsiness
- headache
- nausea, vomiting
- restlessness, agitation
- constipation

Warnings/Precautions
|
- This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
- Do NOT drive or perform other hazardous tasks until you
know how this medicine affects you.
- Do NOT take this medicine if you are allergic to it or any
of its ingredients.
- It may take several weeks before you notice the effects of
Wellbutrin.
- Do NOT abruptly stop this medicine without talking to your
doctor.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures.

Interactions
|
|
Do not take
MAO inhibitors type A with Wellbutrin. If you are not sure if
you are taking an MAO inhibitor, talk to your doctor or
pharmacist. Certain other antidepressants, clozapine (Clozaril),
haloperidol (Haldol), lithium, trazadone, and others may
increase the risk of seizures. BEFORE taking any new
prescription or over-the-counter medicine, it's always a good
idea to talk to your health care provider.

Missed
Dose
|
| If
you miss a scheduled dose, take your next dose as soon as you
remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed one
and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double dose.
|
Storage
|
| Keep
Wellbutrin in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out
of reach of children. Store at room temperature and away from
excessive heat and moisture. Discard any medication that is
outdated or no longer needed.
|
Pregnancy/Nursing
|
| Adequate
studies of the effects of Wellbutrin on pregnant women are not
available. If you plan on becoming pregnant, talk with your
doctor about the possible risks of using this medicine during
pregnancy. This medicine is excreted in breast milk in small
amounts. Check with your doctor if you plan to nurse your baby.
